In honor of our 5th wedding anniversary, I wanted something special to remind us of our honeymoon in London. Sadly, COVID-19 meant we wouldn't be traveling to the UK anytime soon. While we were there, we had a wonderful time at Mad Hatter's Afternoon Tea in the Sanderson Hotel. We also had a really fun night at Sketch London. With Valentine's day around the corner, Sketch is offering a fantastic afternoon tea box, but only locally. Afternoon tea seemed perfect! I decided to try to replicate the boxes for our anniversary. I found the perfect gift box online and spent a few nights sketching out the design. I added pieces of pink cardstock inside as dividers and planned our menu: a few macarons, a tiny jar of clotted cream, cucumber tea sandwiches, petit fours, milk chocolate tea cakes, shortbread, savory scones, and tasty fish dip with crackers. Once everything was set, I rearranged our living room to stage the tea party. Quarantine has made it feel overwhelming to venture out with a toddler, so we transformed our little apartment into a quaint tea time space. I moved our couch out of the way and slid the dining room table by our bright rear window. A wonderful afternoon was had by all.
